My Journey Journal
So, eight weeks ago, I started the Take Shape for Life program with my friend and coach, Natalie Berg. I have started keeping a journal on paper several times, but just cannot seem to keep that up. The one thing that I do seem good at is keeping online blogs.
So, here is where I started: 337.7 lbs. Hard to believe that I could have allowed this to get so out of hand after so many years of maintaining my weight-loss. I know that the GERD had a lot to do with it, but the travel and stress at work hasn't helped either. And just NOT doing what I should be doing.
I started this journey two days before I left to go on a recruiting trip in San Diego on August 2. A month later, I had managed to follow plan through three trips: 2 work trips and a personal trip to Stratford Festival. One month into the plan, I was down to 323 pounds (a loss of 14.7 pounds). I posted pictures to show what even a difference even that small amount can make:
This morning, I weighed in at 316.6. I have to say the frustration for me is that I have managed to slow this down again. I wish I could figure out how to not end up in this situation at the 10s. Total loss is 21.1 lbs. Here are the latest shots in a collage with the first pictures. There is definitely inches coming off, even if they aren't coming off at the spots I measure.
I will be using this blog to keep track of what I am doing right and wrong. I will also use it for recipes that I love! This is a long-term journey. This time, I will not only get back to where I was, but I will push it through to my goal: 165 lbs.
